As the weeks went by, Chris’ belly got larger and larger, but he was never uncomfortable. His skin seemed to grow quickly enough to avoid stretch-marks or unpleasantness, but the baby inside seemed much lighter than it would seem, considering its size. At two weeks, Christopher’s stomach was the size of a small beach ball, and he held it before him as if it were one, filled with not much more than air.
The strange thing was that besides Becca, nobody seemed to notice or care about his rotundity. Life went on as normally as it ever
